Haras des Jardins is the result of the dream and the work of Laurence Montreuil and Julien-Pierre Côté. 

Laurence was 12 years old when she began her horseshow career. She has competed for more than 10 years, both in dressage and showjumping, on the showgrounds of Quebec and the USA. During that time, she had the opportunity to work with coaches from both Quebec and Europe, gaining valuable knowledge, experience and vision from each of them. Laurence began having a strong interest for breeding due to her show mare, Nadine. Curious and passionate, Laurence continuously works on maintaining and developing her knowledge of sport and breeding.

Julien-Pierre has been involved with horses for nearly twenty years. After a short amateur show career in showjumping, he has worked many jobs around horses, including as a groom on the provincial and national showjumping circuits and for a thoroughbred trainer in Ireland. However, Julien-Pierre has always been very interested in genetics selection in general, and in horse breeding in particular. This passion lead him to work for a season at Suma Stud, a highly recognized sport horse breeding operation in Ireland. His european experience has had a profound influence on his breeding philosophy and on his vision of horsemanship, which he now applies to Haras des Jardins.
